Introduction to CORSIA

The Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) is a global scheme adopted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in October 2016 to address CO₂ emissions from international aviation.

"CORSIA aims to stabilize international aviation CO₂ emissions at 2020 levels through carbon offsetting and reduction measures."

This market-based measure represents the first global agreement of its kind for any sector and demonstrates aviation's commitment to reducing its carbon footprint while allowing for sustainable growth.
